The ceramic tile in the two new restrooms at the Count Basie Theater is as unusual as the theater itself...
The 200 square feet of floor tile is a complicated pattern of 1" light green hexagon tiles with a 2" inner border of 1 x 2" tobacco-colored tile, followed by a 6" border of 2" square pine color accents. All of the tile was grouted in a dark brown color.
The 500 square feet of wall tile and trim are made up of 3" square almond colored tiles with a 6 x 4" cove base and a 2" top border of a Mexican sand colored material.
There are also two 3/4" beads of a mocha colored tile all capped by a varnished walnut covered wood. The wall grout color is summer wheat.
All of the above create a simple but complex, attractive color scheme and layout design.
